What are live visuals?
Treating & playing video content like a live instrument to enhance the music experience you are present for
When you go to a show and you see an LED wall or projection screen/area, live visuals are real time video manipulations and edits performed with the music using high powered computers and multiple midi controllers, still images, live cameras, any device that outputs video really, generative scenes, videos, audio-reactive FX, 3D renderings, live generative programs, user input, custom 3D scenes using software used for movie scenes, various styles, & more all mixed together in real-time in such a way you wouldn't believe unless you see it! It is a very hands on and super-focused job!
I try to create the most synesthetic experience possible using multiple computers, softwares, input methods, custom video content/live 3D worlds created by myself and friends of mine, & more while also using multiple outputs and manipulating the layout of the space provided with projection mapping!
Performing live, the VJ usually has no idea what the DJ is about to play next or in most cases, even at all during a set & it is quite an experience when everyone is flowing together!

Are you running the lights and lasers??
NOPE! I run the projection mappings and LED Walls! The way I run visuals is too complex and hands on and requires too much focus and always prepping for what to do next while playing my content live a visuals instrument along with the DJ to do that at the same time!
Can you play a song?
NO WAY! For one, I'm not hooked up to the speakers, ever. Second, I'm not the DJ. And third, don't even think about asking the DJ either :p
